In brief
After ten years, Teatro alla Scala presents a new production of Der Ring des Nibelungen. The direction will be entrusted to David McVicar, an internationally renowned director who has already staged a broad repertoire of operas at La Scala, ranging from Cavalli to Berlioz, Cilea, and Verdi. The Tetralogy will be completed in upcoming seasons with Die Walküre and Siegfried in 2025, and Götterdämmerung and two complete cycles in 2026.
