During the 2023/2024 Season, Teatro alla Scala offers a greater accessibility service aimed at people with visual and hearing impairment on a selection of three opera performances and one ballet.

A limited number of seats are reserved for each date in the box sector.

Ticket prices: Opera €80 / Ballet €60. An accompanying person is entitled to a complimentary ticket.


Reservations are collected up to one month before the date of each performance.

Two hours before the beginning of each of the indicated performances, a visit to the stage will be organized, designed, and structured to meet the needs of people with hearing and visual impairment. For people with hearing impairment, LIS (Italian Sign Language) interpretation service is available, if requested. If you wish to participate in the visits, please confirm during the ticket purchase.

In the Materials box, one week before the show, the following will be available:

  • a presentation video, with subtitles, voice over and Italian Sign Language translation 
  • an accessible programme with texts available in reverse contrast and enlarged characters, Italian sign language translation and audio description of images.
