In brief
The tribute by La Scala and its artists to Carla Fracci continues. She has been and remains a pivotal figure in the history of dance, a source of inspiration for generations of young people, not only in the world of ballet. Director Frédéric Olivieri carries forward the tradition established in 2022 by Manuel Legris, celebrating dance and ballet in the name of this extraordinary star. In 2027 as well, for the sixth edition of the Gala, there will be two performances dedicated to honouring the extraordinarily rich repertoire of Carla Fracci’s signature roles and the ballets she performed. These will come to life once again with international guest artists, the full Ballet Company of La Scala — Étoiles, Principal Dancers, Soloists and Corps de Ballet artists — together with the students of the Ballet School, representing the present and future of dance at La Scala.
