In brief
Every year, the production of a title on the La Scala season programme is entrusted to the students of the La Scala Academy, who are thus able to put themselves to the test before an audience on a renowned stage. The title chosen for 2023 is Il barbiere di Siviglia in the wonderful production that marked the La Scala debut of stage director Leo Muscato in 2021. Set in the wings of a theatre between orchestra rehearsals and ballet lessons, the opera gives the young players the opportunity to display their budding talent guided by the unerring musical experience of Evelino Pidò.
