In brief
David Grossman is considered to be one of the greatest contemporary writers and novelists, known for his direct and compelling style. His most successful books include The Zigzag Kid and Someone to Run With. At a superficial reading, these stories might seem written for a very young readership. This is certainly true for the stories of Itamar, such as A Brand New Baby Brother for Itamar, , in which we find the protagonist struggling with a hare and a night elf. Two of his stories have been set to music by maestro Andrea Basevi to give sound and voice to children’s dreams.
