Individuals over the age of 65, on the other hand, have the opportunity to purchase tickets at a discounted price going directly to the Teatro alla Scala box office, according to the sales calendar for performances published by the theatre.

The Teatro alla Scala maintains a fruitful relationship with the Consulta dei Lavoratori per la Promozione Culturale established in 1972, reserving workers a set number of seats at an agreed price for opera titles, repertory or 20th-century, classical ballet or contemporary dance performances, and subscriptions to the Symphonic Season, Singing Recitals, Guest Orchestra and Piano Recitals.

The Council manages a network of links with trade union organizations, company leisure clubs, groups of small business workers, pensioners and the self-employed.

Requests must be made through the grassroots organisations: CRAL, CdA, CdF, RSU and others.
