The first performance of the 2010 “Sunday at La Scala” series, which is dedicated to families, is all about fairytales. Entr’Acte, the ensemble of principals of the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra, will perform Saint Saëns' famous Carnaval des animaux and the lesser-known L'histoire du petit tailleur. Put to music in Paris in 1938 by the Hungarian composer Tibor Harsányi (1898-1954), this delightful musical fable is inspired by the Grimm Brothers' tale "The Valiant Little Tailor".
