The “Chopin-Schumann Cycle” is a journey on the highest peaks of 19th-century piano composition. Five foremost contemporary pianists, from different generations and backgrounds, celebrate in five performances the bravura and the poetry of Chopin and of Schumann. Both composers are united by their favourite instrument, the piano, and their year of birth, 1810.
Krystian Zimerman kicks off the series of concerts, and entirely dedicates his performance to his compatriot Chopin.
