Each of Thomas Quasthoff’s recitals is an event on its own. His concert on 23rd February should not be missed for two additional reasons. The first is the programme, which consists in one of the most beautiful cycles of Lieders that have ever been composed, Schubert’s Winterreise. The second is the accompanist, a specialist of Schubert: Daniel Barenboim - a dialogue on a par between to prominent artists, such as the great composer would have liked.
