The light and the fog of the North dominate Nina Stemme’s recital. One of today’s more sought-after dramatic soprano, she specialises in Wagner, although her repertoire also covers a vast range of styles.
Wagner’s five Wesendonck Lieder are at the centre of the programme of her recital, between the six Lieder by the Norwegian Grieg, the 5 Songs Op. 37 by the Finnish Sibelius and six pieces from various collections of “Songs” by Rachmaninov
