The La Scala Ballet continues its foray into the creativity of our times. Making its debut here is Bella Figura, a celebration of beauty which emerges even from the most bizarre and unexpected movements of Jiří Kylián’s ballet, created in 1995.

Apollo (1928) stands out in this programme for its grace, elegance and quintessentially perfect geometry. Danced on Stravinsky’s Apollon Musagète, it is a testament of George Balanchine’s contribution to the history of ballet and dance.

Glen Tetley’s Voluntaries from 1973 is also being presented for the first time at La Scala. This passionate ballet is danced to Poulenc’s monumental Concerto in G minor for organ, strings and timpani.
