Between performances of The Rake’s Progress, David Roberston, a specialist of the 20th century repertoire, will conduct the fifth series of concerts within the Symphonic Season. The programme includes the original version of Stravinsky’s Petrushka (1911) and a new work by Ivan Fedele commissioned by La Scala. His 33 noms for two female voices and orchestra is based on French writer Marguerite Yourcenar’s inspired verses entitled “Les trente-trois noms de Dieu”.
