In tribute to a dance legend, the Petit Evening reflects the extremely special relation created over the years between La Scala and the French maestro. The performance will be a journey into Roland Petit's choreographic work, via the strong and emblematic female figures that fascinate and charm their male counterparts.

The femme fatale of Le Jeune homme et la Mort, an existentialist masterpiece based on Cocteau's writings; the explosive and rule-breaking Carmen, title role of the ballet created in 1949 and which returns to the Scala repertoire after a seven-year absence; the invisible presence that obsessed Frederi in L'Arlésienne, a ballet from 1974 inspired by the literary and theatrical work of Alphonse Daudet, which here enters the company repertoire for the first time.
