Guidelines
Attending a performance at La Scala is a unique experience, to which the audience has to get closer thanks to an adequate preparation and awareness.
People in charge of G.I.S. (see the G.I.S. Characteristics and Objectives Section) have to teach members of their groups educational notions as well as inform them of the appropriate rules of behaviour, in order to transform the participation into a real educational experience.
The audience should not only see the show, but acquire a series of habits helping them to take advantage of the performance:
- In case of delay, the seating area can only be accessed after the first break.
- Drinking or eating is not allowed in the auditorium.
- During the show, people in charge of groups have to make sure that the whole group is gathered together, and watch out the students' behaviour.
- During the performance, and especially during concerts, it is customary to applaud only at the end of each composition, and not at every break.
- During the performance, talking (not even in a quiet voice), standing up from the seat, taking photographs with or without flash, making video or audio recording are not permitted.
- It is not possible to leave the auditorium before the end of or during the performance.
