NOTES ON THE PERFORMANCE

The homage to Rudolf Nureyev continues with Don Chisciotte, one of the true signature pieces of La Scala Ballet Company, applauded in 2016 ‒ on the 400th anniversary of the death of Cervantes ‒ in Milan and on tour in Tokyo. With the warm colours of the stage set designed by Raffaele Del Savio and Anna Anni, Nureyev’s Don Chisciotte, in the Theatre repertoire since 1980 with Nureyev and Carla Fracci as protagonists, will plunge the audience in a charming Spanish atmosphere with a spectacular choreography rich in virtuosity, on the bright and cheerful music by Minkus.
