How can I buy tickets?
You can buy tickets via the following channels:

  • at the Central Box Office – Galleria del Sagrato, piazza Duomo, Milan
  • at the Biglietteria Filodrammatici – via Filodrammatici 2, Milan (open on the days of the performances, two and a half hours before the beginning)

From 20 August 2018 the Box Offices are moved to Teatro alla Scala, Largo Ghiringhelli 20121 Milano.

 

All tickets will be nominal. To purchase tickets at the ticket office, a subscription form has to be filled out with the client’s data. The form can be found at the entrance of the Central Box Office or online and should be handed over to the ticket counter. For the 140 Numbered gallery tickets that are sold at the Filodrammatici Box Office on the day of the performance, the form will be distributed by the L’Accordo Association or can be found here.

 

When can I buy tickets?
You will find the sales calendar with details of when tickets go on sale for every title in the programme. Sales begin at 9am at the Central Box Office and at 12 noon on internet, at authorised sales outlets and for telephone reservations. On first day of sales each buyer will be able to acquire up to 4 seats in the Parterre or 2 tickets in the Galleries or an entire box per transaction. Entrance tickets to the gallery, when scheduled, go on sale at the Biglietteria Filodrammatici two and a half hours before the beginning of the performance.

 

What time do the various sales channels open?
The Central Box Office is open:

  • from 9am to 6pm on the first day of sale for tickets to each title;
  • from 12 noon to 6pm on the subsequent days for tickets to all performances.
  • Internet and the telephone reservations service are active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Biglietteria Filodrammatici is open exclusively on the days of the performances, two and a half hours before to fifteen minutes after the beginning of the performance.
The authorised sales outlets are commercial businesses with their own opening times.

 

Where and when can I buy tickets for “La ScalAperta”?
You can buy tickets for “ScalAperta” on different days compared with other performances of the same title. The Central Box Office opens at 9am on the dates shown on the “ScalAperta” sales calendar.

Any seats that remain unsold at the Central Box Office will be posted for sale on internet 24 hours after sales begin at the Box Office.

 

Where and when can I buy tickets for Anteprime UNDER 30?
“Anteprime” sales begin at 9am in the Central Box Office and at 12:00 online and at the authorised sales outlets. See the sales calendar for first-day sales. A form of identification is required.

 

How can I buy tickets for “Great performances for children"?Tickets for the performances of the project will be on sale at the Central Box Office from 9am following the sale calendar and online from 9pm on the next day.

The entrance ticket at a cost of €1 is reserved for children and young people under the age of 18. Anyone of over 18 years of age can enter the Theatre as an accompanying adult and the ticket can be bought at the same time as the child’s. Each accompanying adult can purchase a maximum of two tickets at the price of €1. The €1-tickets are only issued on presentation of identification of the under-18-year-old.

 

How can I buy tickets for “Invitation to La Scala”?
Tickets are reserved for students of schools organised by their own cultural referents into G.I.S (Gruppi di Interesse Scala or Scala Interest Groups), and for senior citizens members of the Gruppi Comunali della Terza Età (municipal groups of retired people). Where can I find ticket prices?
You will find the prices of tickets in the specific section. All prices are inclusive of tax. Tickets bought at the Central Box Office are subject to a 10%-pre-sale surcharge on any day prior to the day of the performance. Tickets purchased online, at authorised sales outlets and the Telephone Reservation Service carry up to 20%-pre-sale surcharge.

 

How do I pay for tickets?

  • The Central Box Office accepts payment in cash (€ 2.999 maximum), by banker’s draft, or the wider-used credit or debit cards.
  • Online bookings can be paid for by the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, JCB.
  • Telephone reservations can be paid for either by banker’s draft or credit card.
  • Authorised sales outlets have their own systems of payment.

 

How can I collect my tickets?
Tickets purchased at the Central Box Office are issued immediately. Tickets acquired through the Automatic Telephone Booking Service (SAPT) can be collected after confirmation at the Central Box Office. Tickets purchased online and from Authorized Sales Agents will be delivered by email as pdf e-tickets with the print@home option only.

 

What happens if I lose my tickets or they are not collected on time?

In case of loss of tickets or subscription cards, customers should present themselves personally at the Filodrammatici Box Office on the day of the performance and fill in a specific self-certification form. Only the holder of the ticket or subscription is entitled to fill in the self-certification.
 

What happens in case print@home tickets are not delivered by email?
It is possible to receive a copy of the pdf e-ticket by sending a request to Ticketone’s dedicated Customer Service, teatroallascala@ticketone.it, indicating the account used to purchase the tickets and the date of the performance. Soon, the same procedure will be possible also from your Personal Page by logging in at teatroallascala.ticketone.it. 

 

What is the policy if I return my tickets and request a refund?
Tickets are only valid for the date printed on them.
Tickets cannot be cancelled and refunded.
The Management of the Theatre reserves the right to modify the composition of the cast, and the dates and the times of performances. Such action does not entitle the ticket holder to refund.
Should the performance be cancelled, only tickets that are intact and presented at the Central Box Office no later than 15 days after the cancelled event will be refunded. Cash refunds are only possible at the Central Box Office, or, for online purchases, by direct refund to the credit card or current account.

 

Are children allowed into the Theatre?
Of course they are, but they must have a ticket. The Theatre recommends a minimum age of five years. If the child disturbs other members of the audience, the accompanying adult and the child will be invited to continue watching the performance on the TV screens located in the foyer of the Theatre.

 

How and when can I buy gallery tickets?
Two hours and a half before the start of the performance, the "L'Accordo" musical association has been specially commissioned by the Teatro alla Scala to sell 140 numbered tickets for the galleries. Every person will be entitled to one ticket.

How and when can I purchase last minute tickets?
In the hour preceding every performance, any tickets still available will be sold with an average 25% discount. The discount does not apply to the 140 gallery numbered tickets mentioned above. 

 

When is the Central Box Office closed?
Closed on January 1 and 6; Easter and Easter Monday; April 25; May 1; June 2; November 1; December 8, 24, 25 and 26.

Closed for summer holidays from 4 to 19 August 2018.
