Who can subscribe?
Subscription packages are available to everyone.
How can I subscribe?
From 18th May 2016 you can purchase your subscription online, specifying the subscription package, and the type and number of seats you wish to acquire. The Subscription Service will contact you to confirm availability, and define the mode of payment and ticket collection.
Can I choose a seat?
Subscribers to the current Season have first refusal on new subscriptions. You can request and choose a maximum of six seats. The 4-, 5- and 6- boxes must be bought as a unit (not applicable to under-30s’ subscriptions).
How do I pay for the subscription?
Once you have reserved your subscription, payment can be made in the Biglietteria centrale (Central Box Office) in cash (for amounts of less than €2,990.00), by credit card, by banker’s draft, bank transfer or personal cheque. Online purchases can be paid for by credit card or through the home banking service of the Intesa Sanpaolo group. A 3%-commission will be charged for online purchases.
Where and how can I purchase an UNDER30 Subscription?
You can subscribe to the Libero UNDER30 package only online (www.teatroallascala.org) and, of course, you have to be under 30 years of age. While reserving the subscription you can choose the package you wish to buy and the category. On completing the procedure, you will receive a coupon with a code identifying the package acquired. You must keep this pre-paid coupon which you will be able to use to buy three previously selected performances in the chosen price category. All tickets must be purchased online at www.lascalaunder30.org.
You will be shown the list of performances available. Once you have chosen the performance and your seat, you will be able to use the identification code. The amount will be subtracted from your credit, which must be used within the 2016-2017 season. The coupon cannot be used to purchase performances or categories other than the ones shown in the programme. As of 1st July 2016, you will be able to use your identification code to buy the three performances. We recommend that you convert your coupon into tickets as soon as possible in order to be sure of finding seats.
How do I receive my subscription?
If you do not purchase your subscription directly at the Box Office, it will be mailed to your address. A card will be issued bearing the name of the subscriber for each seat purchased. The card will allow you to attend all of the performances subscribed to.
The card comes with: a discounted card for the car park in Piazza Meda (Best in Parking); a discounted card for “La Scala Shop” and, only for subscribers to the Opera, a carnet of vouchers for a free programme for each performance subscribed to. If you select a package with pre-fixed dates, please be sure to check the date (shown on you card) as your seat is only available on that date. No card is issued for the Libero UNDER30 package: tickets can be acquired only if you have the valid identification code and only by email.
What happens if I cannot attend one or more dates in my subscription?
For the Opera, Ballet, Mini, Weekend and Symphony packages there is a “change-of-date” service. You can request to change the date of a performance either by emailing or by faxing the Box Office no later than 48 hours before the date of the performance subscribed to.
A new seat will be assigned as near as possible to your own, subject to availability. The cost of the service is €10 per seat (€3 for the symphony concerts).
How do I obtain a possible refund in the event of the performance being cancelled?
In the event of the cancellation of a performance, the amount will be refunded exclusively by bank transfer. For this reason, we require you to supply the Box Office with your bank details when subscribing to or renewing one of our packages. For administrative reasons, it is not possible to make refunds by banker’s draft.
The online clients of Intesa Sanpaolo have the right of first refusal on new subscriptions until 31st July 2016. For information: www.group.intesasanpaolo.com
